What Sookify is for

Sookify is built for everyday second-hand trading between people who live near each other: the sofa you no longer need, the stroller your child has outgrown, a whole flat of furniture before you move out. The name comes from souk, the Arabic word for market. It is not related to Spotify.

Most UAE classifieds sites show you listings from strangers across the country. Sookify starts with where you live. Members save their building or community and see what their neighbours are selling first, so handovers are short and the person on the other side is a neighbour, not a stranger.

How it works

  1. Create a free account and add your area. Your exact address stays private: buyers only see an approximate area.
  2. Join your building, neighbourhood and school communities. Sookify creates and reviews each one, and anyone signed in can join instantly.
  3. Post a listing with photos and a price. Every listing passes an automated review before it goes live.
  4. Buyers tap Contact seller, which opens a chat. Offers, counter offers and the agreed price all stay in that conversation.
  5. Agree the handover in a checklist, meet, inspect the item and pay the seller directly. Both sides can then leave a review of the completed deal.

Features

How Sookify compares

Sookify is newer and smaller than the big UAE classifieds sites, so it has fewer listings. Its strengths are local trading inside your own building and community, offers and handovers in one place, and help with selling a whole home before a move.
